Accessing Settings
Click "Company settings" in the main menu. Administrators see company-wide settings. Bezala's settings are organized into tabs for easy navigation. The main settings tabs include:

Basic Settings (Admin)
Basic settings control your company's core Bezala configuration:
Company Information: Company name, business ID (Y-tunnus/Org.nr), and address. This information appears on expense reports and is used for tax reporting.
Currency Settings: Default currency for expenses are based on country settings in basic settings. Users can still create expenses in other currencies, which are converted at the time of submission.
Company IBAN and BIC: Sub-tab: Reimbursement & Accounting: The bank account used for reimbursing employees. Required for SEPA payments and some accounting integrations.
VAT Settings: Sub-tab: Expense forms: Receipts-section: VAt drop-down: Default VAT percentages for your country. You can add multiple VAT rates and map them to VAT codes used by your accounting software.
Period Lock: Sub-tab: Reimbursement & Accounting: Lock accounting periods to prevent changes to expenses already sent to accounting.
User Profile Settings
Users can access their own profile from the profile icon in the upper right-hand corner.
Personal Information: Name, email, phone number. Email is used for login and notifications.
Address: Home address, which may be used as the default starting point for mileage claims.
Bank Account: IBAN and BIC for receiving reimbursements. Some countries (Sweden) also support bank account number and clearing number.
Country and Nationality: Used for per diem calculations and tax reporting. Country determines which per diem rates apply.
Social Security Number (SSN): Required for income register reporting in Finland and Skatteverket reporting in Sweden. Stored securely and only visible to authorized administrators.
Default Values: Set default expense account, cost center, and payment method to speed up expense submission.
Country-Specific Settings
Some settings vary by country:
Finland: Income register (Tulorekisteri) settings for automatic reporting of per diems and mileages. Configure your company's payer ID and certificate. Go to Basic settings: Reimbursement & Accounting: Income register section.
Sweden: Skatteverket reporting settings. Taxable mileage threshold (currently 2.50 SEK/km). Representation expense limits (90 SEK internal, 60 SEK external). Contact Bezala support to enable integration.
Integration Settings
Configure connections to external systems. Each integration has its own settings page accessible from Settings > Integrations > The cog icon next to Integration software row.
Bookkeeping & ERP software: Connect to Netvisor, Procountor, Fortnox, NetSuite, or other supported systems. Configure sync schedules and field mappings.
HR Integrations: Connect Mepco or Sympa for automatic user synchronization.
CRM & Invoicing software: Connect to Visma Severa
Credit Card Integrations: Set up automatic import of credit card transactions from Pliant, Zevoy, AirPlus, Nordea First Card, or Danske MasterCard.
Reimbursements: Connect to SEPA
Feature Toggles
Some features can be enabled or disabled company-wide:
Time Tracking: Enable work hour logging and absence management. Contact support to enable.
Per Diem: Enable daily allowance claims in Expense forms sub-tab.
Mileage: Enable mileage reimbursement claims in Expense forms sub-tab.
Receipt Required: Require receipt images for all expense submissions in Expense forms sub-tab.
Troubleshooting
Can't see certain settings: Most settings are only visible to administrators with the Manager role. Vendors can be enabled in company settings. To enable Time & Attendance tab, contact support.
Settings not saving: Ensure all required fields are filled before clicking Save in lower right-hand corner. Check for validation errors highlighted in red.
Integration settings not working: Verify that your API credentials are current. Some integrations require re-authorization periodically.
Go to Integrations > Click the cog icon next to Integration software row OR
If bookkeeping software: Basic settings > Sub-tab: Reimbursement & Accounting: Bookkeeping software authentication section.
