Netsuite, Fortnox, Severa, D365, Netvisor, Procountor, and Workday can update cost center data. Additionally, cost center updates can be done via SFTP.
Adding and deactivating cost center through integration
During the first sync, existing cost centers are usually looked up by names & dimension names. If they are not found, they are created. If they are found, but they are deactivated in Bezala, they will be activated. Often they get their external IDs set based on the integration resource data.
During the subsequent syncs, this external ID (whether it is set directly in the cost center or not) is used to determine which cost center should be updated with what incoming data.
If a cost center is no longer present in the integration’s data or is deactivated on the integration’s side, it gets deactivated in Bezala. Severa-integration is exception to this; if none of project’s root phase members are members of the company, the project will be deactivated or not created in the first place.
Manually adding and deactivating cost centers
In the Cost centers view you can edit, add and delete cost centers.
To add cost centers, fill in the cost center and dimension name after pressing the "add a cost center" button. The cost centers will be grouped by the dimension names in Bezala.
If you use Netsuite or Procountor cost centers should always be activated and deactivated through integration.
Cost center approval cycles
Cost center approvers can be synched via Netsuite, Severa or SFTP. All these integrations can both add and remove approvers, but cannot remove integration approvers completely.
| What are the additional conditions for approver sync? | How does it interact with other existing approvers (if any)? |
NetSuite | Only for Projects, Departments, and Classifications. | Reviewer THEN Approver THEN other approvers |
Severa | Only when Add project owners as cost center approvers is on. | Project owner THEN other approvers |
Cost Centers Via SFTP | None. | Integration approvers THEN other approvers |
Cost center resources
Resources are used to define which users can select a cost center for their Bezala transactions. If no resources have been added to the cost center, it will be displayed to all users in the environment.
Only NetSuite & Severa can sync cost center recourses:
NetSuite can both add and remove the recourses,
Severa can only add the recourses.

Cost Centers can also be imported via SFTP.
To send cost centers via SFTP, please create a CSV file with the following columns and headers, and send the SFTP credentials to [email protected]. Bezala will read new files in daily.
Cost Center Name | Cost Center Dimension Name | Cost Center Resources | Is Cost Center Deactivated | Cost Center Approvers | External ID | Company ID |
